Art, Craft & Design at Coláiste Chríost Rí provides the pupil with a course of study relevant to their own personal development. It encourages them to take reference from their immediate environment and their interests and produce works of art based on these.

With an emphasis on traditional skills, pupils at both Junior and Senior levels work with a wide range of creative materials and media, such as drawing, painting, collage, print, 3D construction, clay modeling and graphic design.

Pupils are also introduced to the work of artists and craftspeople in the community from junior level onwards, through museum and gallery visits. They learn about art works and gain an understanding and appreciation of art, craft and design in their local community and on a broader, worldwide, cultural level.
