This year the Colaiste Chriost Rí European tour is heading to the Spanish capital Madrid. The group depart from Dublin airport early morning on Friday May 23rd (06:30 flight). This year there are 23 students and three teachers travelling. The teachers are Padraig Mc Aree, Jim Cremin and Jamie Burns.
On arrival we will check in to the hotel and begin with a guided bus tour of Madrid. In the afternoon we pay a visit to the Royal Palace of Madrid. Hat evening students will get a chance to chill with a relaxed ramble to the Park Retiro and Place de Sol
Day 2 provides a chance to do a little shopping in the morning before spending a day at an adventure centre.
Sunday begins a leisurely morning to allow everyone catch their breath and perhaps a little extra sleep. At noon we head to the Parc de Attractiones, an adventure park. Sunday evening the group will head for the home of Athletico Madrid to see the home team take on Valencia, a great fixture
Bright and early we are off to the home of Real Madrid, the Santiago Bernabeu for a guided tour of the stadium and museum and no doubt a visit to the stadium shop. After lunch the group will head off to Toledo, a world heritage site.
After spending the early part of the morning getting bags packed etc the tour party will head off to visit a number of museums, one of which contains some 20,000 works of art. Later that evening we will depart for Dublin and on back home to Cork.
