Since the inception of Coláiste Chríost Rí, the promotion of Gaeilge and Irish Culture in general is one of the main aims of the school.

In the classroom situation, all levels of ability are given the required attention. The Learning Support Department liaises with Roinn Na Gaeilge to cater for the needs of pupils experiencing difficulty in the subject. The streaming of pupils into appropriate classes ensures that they reach their potential in the language. Results in state examinations are consistently above the national average.

All teachers adhere strictly to programmes laid down by the Departement of Education and Science and encourage pupils to attend recognised Gaeilge Summer Courses wherever possible.
